So, my good friend, Michelle tells me that we're going to have a spa day.....What do you think I said.....UhhhhYeah!!! woohoo!
I arrange for my husband to meet me in Newington so we can switch cars and he's running late which in turn makes me run late. So by the time I pull into the spa parking lot (yes they have their own parking lot in Portsmouth!!!) I was rushing and feeling so tense because I may have been holding someone up.
Well, I actually was only one minute late, but still.
So I walk into the spa and I felt like i had walked through a portal to a place where there is no stress, no rushing and constant calm.
It was amazing!
I was lead to the changing area, where I put on my robe and sandals then proceeded to the tranquility room. I wanted to lie on the couch and take a nap it was so peaceful...The lighting was perfect, the refreshing lemon and cucumber water was so good. There was also a fountain in the room which i loved.
The smell of the essential oils that is throughout the spa has stayed with me somehow....Every once in a while I get a brief smell of lavender and it reminds me of being there and the calmness that I felt.
My first service was a massage. OH MY GOSH, it was incredible. A full hour long massage is a must for everyone. All I could think about was that I wanted my husband to experience this calmness and what a wonderful gift this would be to give him. I was able to force the thoughts of "this is going to end soon" out of my head so I was able to enjoy every moment of the massage. All I can say is WOW! Once the massage was over, I was told that I could come out at my leisure and I wanted to just lie there and rest for a few minutes, but I didn't want to push it!!! I mean if I would've come out "at my leisure", it would've been the next day!!!
Once I left that area, I went back to the tranquility room where I had a snack....Then on to the pedicure.....
I sat down, lowered my feet into the hot water and leaned back into the leather chair. I am not used to this much pampering! I loved it!
The chair was so comfortable and was a vibrating, massaging chair so even though I had just had an hour long massage, I still turned on the rollers and closed my eyes....
The pedicure was incredibly relaxing with the massaging, the scrub and the atmosphere. What a wonderful day it turned out to be!!!
I cannot say enough about what a nice time I had while I was there.
Go ahead and pass through the portal of relaxation and visit the DuDa spa!!! You won't regret it.
Thanks Michelle for inviting me to go with you ......
